We therefore call for an urgent change to the Native Title Act 1993, so that any endangered or vulnerable animal or marine life is excluded from hunting by any means, for any reason.

I agree there are other threats to the survival of the two species, BUT unmonitored unregulated hunting adds to the chances of becoming extinct

Our recommendations are
Alter the 1993 native title act to exclude any of the 50 native animals that are listed endangered or vulnerable.And are able to be legally hunted in any quantity .From being hunted at all.

THE LABOR AND GREEN MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT THAT ARE TERRIFIED OF LOSING THEIR INDIGENOUS VOTE.
My friend tried to show the pictures ABOVE to greenpeace ships crew in cairns, they told him they were not interested WHY ?
A protected species ? Not in green zones off cairns .Turtles all on the endangered species list yet.PEOPLE CAN GO AND KILL THEM ! FIGURE THAT OUT ? There is an extraordinary piece of Legislation in Queensland ~<
ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT Aboriginal tradition and Island custom
(1) This Act does not apply to or affect an act done, or omission made, by-- >(a) an Aborigine under Aboriginal tradition; or >(b) a Torres Strait Islander under Island custom. >(2) However, if a regulation prescribes conditions for the doing the act, or making the >omission, subsection (1) only applies if the conditions have been complied with. >(3) For the Statutory Instruments Act 1992, section 43, a proposed regulation under subsection >(2) is taken to be likely to impose appreciable costs on the community or part of the community. >
***In essence it allows the above to escape conviction for ANY cruelty to animals!!
My issue is we complain about whaling to the world AND yet we allow this here in AUSTRALIA !
